Woke early as it was time to welcome our James to London.
He arrived at 6am and is making his way on the tube to meet us at Liverpool St Station.
Our carefully laid out plans to ensure we could communicate fell a bit flat but finally I received a message on facebook messenger that he was about to arrive. Phew…

I can only describe it as joyous having both my boys together and my little family complete.

We started the day with breakfast at Dishoom, a wonderful Indian restaurant a block down from Harry and Tinas.
Indian might sound a little strange for breakfast but think bacon and eggs on fresh naan bread rather than toast and bottomless spicy chai tea, which was delicious.

After breakfast we went for a bit of an aimless wander and came upon the Columbia street flower markets.
A lot going on and the quirky shops I saw yesterday are busy with people, long queues outside coffee shops, including one where i reckon the chap has put the coffee machine in his stairwell.

Home again to give James a bit of a rest before heading out for Sunday Roast at the Owl and Pussycat pub, also in our street.
Huge meal, biggest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen. But all of it was delicious and a really fun afternoon.

A bit more wandering before retiring for a couple of beers at the Rain Dogs Bar.

Stuart and I have moved out of Harry and Tinas as James moves in and we are staying a couple of minutes away on Bethnal Green Road.

Rain Dogs is just across the road for us.
A wonderful day, feeling very content.

  1. Fantastic! Can it get much better with all your family together? PS aren't Indian breakfasts just the best .. couldn't agree more 👏
